Bible Journaling: 'I am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made'

'I am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made'

Yesterday I was reading an article in the newspaper whereby several people were being interviewed on their experiences they had had at boarding school, and the lasting effect that had had on their lives.
I could identify with much of what was being said,
However, I know that God can rewrite our story. He can give back what the locusts have eaten. I started to write down my declarations of God's Truth spoken over me, thanking Him for all He has done.

'For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, i know that full well.'
Psalm 139;13&14

Bible Journaling; 'God calls you by Name'

 'God calls you by Name'

Isaiah 43:1-5 says, 'Now....listen to the Lord who created you...the one who formed you says, 'Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name, you are mine...You are precious to me. You are honoured and I love you.' 'Do not be afraid, for I am with you.'

Jesus called Mary by name in the quietness of the garden. I love the intimacy of being in His Presence. then she said, 'I have seen the Lord'  -  Taken from John 20:15-18

These few verses have really been speaking to me over this weekend. I feel that Jesus is calling me by name and I want to hear His gentle whisper!

May your heart be still and your spirit sing as you celebrate the one who loves you deeply.

Bible Journaling: 'Cherry Blossom'

'I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God!
For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.
The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world.
Everyone will praise him!
His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring,
with plants springing up everywhere.'
Isaiah 61:10-11

'Cherry Blossom'

We are made righteous in His sight through our faith in Jesus who died for us on the cross and rose again. The cherry blossom in our garden is looking beautiful at the moment and reminds me of the beauty and fragility of our lives. It represents for me new life as in spring it blossoms into flower. God wants to renew us in our hearts toward Him.

Bible Journaling: 'My Journey'

'My Journey'

I've been thinking of my journey with the Lord and how He leads me as I seek after Him.
Jeremiah 29:11-14  are such familiar verses to me, but here I chose to journal on this page, making reference to Psalm 25:4, following the path God has set before us.
We can stand strong in Him, like the tree, rooted and grounded in His love, even though the bark of the tree shows the gnarled markings of its life, just as our experiences, that may sometimes have held trauma and heartache, all go to make us more interesting, more able to relate to others, and grow stronger in our faith, standing firm and tall.

Jeremiah 29:11-14
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call on me and  come and pray to me, and I will listen to you, You will seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you" declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity."

Psalm 25:4-5
'Show me your ways, Lord. teach me your paths, Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in you all day long.'

Bible Journaling: 'Jesus is King'

'Jesus is King'
Having thought about Palm Sunday yesterday, brought to life by going to see 'Chosen' at the cinema, I looked at Matthew 21:5 'Say to your daughter Zion,  "See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey".
He humbly rode in.
I love it that we are daughters of the King, and Jesus is King over all our situations. We too can triumph as we humbly walk with Him in Victory.

Bible Journaling: 'He is Risen'

'He is Risen'

This week I have been thinking of Easter as it approaches. On Friday I went to a Bible Journaling day at Living Well, Nonington, with my friend Lianne.
I centred on Matthew 28:6&8 'He is Risen' and 'the women were filled with joy and ran to tell the disciples, and suddenly Jesus met them.'
We have our stories to tell and can go out and share the Good News that Jesus is alive and has done great things for us. I pray that we too can be filled with His Joy and Peace as we go in His name.

Painting at Solva

                                                           Solva, Pembrokeshire, Wales
Acrylic on board
12"x10"
At present we are on holiday in Wales and choosing to ignore the weather forecast, we decided to take a walk down into Solva, and explore along by the harbour, then a short way up on the coastal path. We found a seat where I could paint this most wonderful view. The sunshine was glorious and we enjoyed the conversations with passers-by who would stop to take a peeky look!
